Under the NHS Right to Choose (RTC) legal framework in England, patients and families can request a referral from their GP to an eligible provider of their choice for an NHS-funded autism assessment. Healios currently accepts eligible RTC referrals for online autism assessments for children and young people aged 8–16.
Current Service Status & Waiting Times
- Eligible Age Group: Children and young people aged 8 to 16.
- Waiting Times: Currently up to 6 months (though appointments are frequently offered much faster).
- Availability: Limited slots are subject to local Integrated Care Board (ICB) policies and referral volumes.
If you wish to go ahead with a RTC referral with Healios, please speak to your GP who will be able to make the referral.
